Kalan Hurdle

Kalan graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked in Boston as a materials processing engineer on projects centered around extrusion, polymer rheology, and plastics recycling. He has also worked in the electrochemistry field: synthesizing supplementary cementitious materials (SCM) and investigating critical mineral recovery from PCB boards. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at UMBC. Kalan will be working on a collaborative effort to investigate the functionality of programmable bioplastics.
